Hello small circle of friends. I have been meaning to post for awhile and now seems to be the perfect time. This post is inspired by Young House Love. If you haven’t checked out their blog yet, please do. It is one of my favorite blogs and it inspires me to spend more time on my home and its personal style.

Some of the colors I chose.
Up until very recently I have not been able to put a lot of work into our home. We never really decorated it, we just moved in as soon as we finished the very last details of building. Heck, we moved in a few days before Christmas and I put up a tree! It was the only thing in our house, but buy was I proud. Anyways, back on track. I have been meaning to do something inspiring with my home office. I spend a lot of time in it. A lot.
Currently it is in a small room and I have been wanting to move it to one of our spare bedrooms for awhile now. I finally have my chance. Armed with a few semi-photographic images in my head of the luxe room I want to make, I stopped by Home Depot today and picked me up two paint samples. I chose Behr because I keep seeing these damn commercials and they make painting look so easy. (Plus I have been reading tons of painting tips from YHL.) I purchase a sample of theĀ (from their Vintage Chic line) and Mermaid Treasure. I have decided that the Caribe color will really set the tone of the room. The other color, Mermaid Treasure, would look great as well, but it is a little bright. I am so excited and can’t wait for this weekend when the real work begins… painting. (BTW I even took the time to cover some of the tiny dents and scratches that our guests left.)
