Inspired by

Hello small circle of friends. I have been meaning to post for awhile and now seems to be the perfect time. This post is inspired by Young House Love. If you haven’t checked out their blog yet, please do. It is one of my favorite blogs and it inspires me to spend more time on my home and its personal style.

Some of the colors I chose.

Up until very recently I have not been able to put a lot of work into our home. We never really decorated it, we just moved in as soon as we finished the very last details of building. Heck, we moved in a few days before Christmas and I put up a tree! It was the only thing in our house, but buy was I proud. Anyways, back on track. I have been meaning to do something inspiring with my home office. I spend a lot of time in it. A lot.

Currently it is in a small room and I have been wanting to move it to one of our spare bedrooms for awhile now. I finally have my chance. Armed with a few semi-photographic images in my head of the luxe room I want to make, I stopped by Home Depot today and picked me up two paint samples. I chose Behr because I keep seeing these damn commercials and they make painting look so easy. (Plus I have been reading tons of painting tips from YHL.) I purchase a sample of theĀ  (from their Vintage Chic line) and Mermaid Treasure. I have decided that the Caribe color will really set the tone of the room. The other color, Mermaid Treasure, would look great as well, but it is a little bright. I am so excited and can’t wait for this weekend when the real work begins… painting. (BTW I even took the time to cover some of the tiny dents and scratches that our guests left.)

Redneck Rumble 2009 Lebanon, TN

A little late posting about this, but I did not want to disappoint with the promised photos. I got a brand new camera for my photography class so I have been working with just the manual settings in the camera and have not done any photoshop work to any of them yet. I am sure they could look pretty awesome when I am finished. Anyways, here they are. Read more…

iTired.

Hey guys! Its been awhile since I posted anything. I have been super busy with work, school and home life. I just got done doing some homework for my Digital Photography class. I am so excited to go out and get a SLR! We had to post a photo from a photographer we admired, and I talked about Christine & Vania. If you haven’t seen their work yet, you need to. It’s stunning! I also had to post a photo that I took that I was proud of. Here it is in all its glory:

Dali Sculpture in London

It is a Dali sculpture that I found while in London in 2006. I caught this perfect moment where the sky was stunning.

Goodguys Nashville Nationals

Justin, our friend Stevo and I sweated ourselves to death in the Nashville heat to check out the cool cars the Goodguys show promised to bring. They kept their word. There seemed to be thousands of cars there and I know we missed a bunch of them!

Check out our pics!

Its Car Show Season!

Posing on the Rat RodWe are so freaking excited that its car show season again. This year we have planned on going to some of the larger shows we missed last year. We have met a few cool people who have rat rods that we are going to hang out with this summer. We hit our first show last night in New Hope at the Hardee’s. It was packed! Can’t wait to share more photos!

Our Blog!

So to make sure we are in on the fun, Justin and I will be starting a blog. Ok, I will be starting a blog and sharing some of our world with you guys. Expect no posts from Justin. He will never want to write anything and if he did, it would take several months for him to type it out. I will probably talk about mundane things and London way too often. I am going to warn you, this will probably be snooze-inducing.
